The BASE Software director, having an allergy to certain foods and their derivatives, decided to produce a piece of software designed to manage his medical condition.

Food manufacturers provide their customers with allergy information regarding their product range. Using these food lists ShopSafe was designed to ensure that no products could be accidently purchased that would trigger an alergic reaction.

ShopSafe accomplishes this task by tracking products through valid "safe periods" and informing the user when a product has gone past its valid safe date.

ShopSafe can hold information on manufacturers and thousands of products. Users can also prepare allergy-safe shopping lists from directly within ShopSafe.
